2023 Super Y League Finals - December 8-12, 2023

CFSC Technical Director - Everett Palache

Congratulations to the 2011 and 2010 girls on their success at the Super Y national finals. Also, congratulations to the 2012 Girls and the 2012, 2011, 2010, and 2009 Boys who attended the event and all the players participating in the program starting in the summer training.

Super Y League is a part of the USL pathway and has been an integral part of our development pathways. Using USL as a benchmark for our development process and seeing our teams improve yearly is excellent. We qualified five out of seven teams for the semi-finals, and our USL two (senior team) qualified for the playoffs last summer in only the second year. The 2011 Girls won the Super Y league, and the 2011 Boys made the semi-finals at the U 13 level this year. 2010 Girls came in second at the U-14 level. Without everyone's commitment, we don't continue to progress and find success as individuals, as teams, and as a club.

We look forward to building on this year's success in the Super Y and other league platforms.

2010 & 2011 Girls Head Coach - Toby Frohlich

The 2023 Super Y League Playoffs were a huge success for our CFSC 2010 and 2011 girls teams. The event saw our 2010 girls lose narrowly in the final, 0-1, after a dominant performance. The 2011 girls won the final 3-0 against a good NOVA Majestics McLean team. A special shoutout goes to the 2011 girls, finishing the event undefeated without allowing a goal over five games. Congratulations is also in order to 2011 player Brooklyn Russell, for winning the Finals MVP.

While the event was undoubtedly successful in terms of results, there were a lot of other excellent moments for the teams. The teams were able to play against new opponents which all had different styles which caused a lot of adversity. They were also excellent in playing in accordance with our style and methodology. Lastly, the players and families were able to spend a lot of time together both on and off the field, creating lifelong memories and fun.

All of us at CFSC are very grateful for the Super Y platform and our dedicated families for making this trip such a success. Thanks for all you do, and we are already looking forward to continued success in this league during the 2024 season.
