Cleveland Force Pre-Club Program Lead

The Cleveland Force Soccer Club is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual for the part-time role of Pre-Club Program Lead. This position is responsible for the on-field execution and oversight of our youngest age groups, ensuring a high-quality, fun, and developmental experience aligned with the club's curriculum.



Weekly On-Field Hours: 5–10 hours per week
Work Days: 3–4 days per week

Pay Rate: $22–$28 per hour

Requirements

• Must be available most weekends
• Must be reliable, responsible, and passionate about soccer and working with children.
• Have reliable transportation to and from all session locations.
• Availability for training sessions and games, typically on weeknights and Saturday/Sunday mornings.
• Demonstrate a willingness to further personal knowledge and development in coaching by working toward the USSF licensing pathway.
• Must be willing to complete a background check, as required for all coaching staff.
• Must complete SafeSport, Heads Up, and Lindsay's Law training requirements.

Program Oversight

1. Assist with oversight of Pre-Club Programming on the West and East sides of Cleveland, including Force Minis and Force Juniors.
2. Support Youth Academy training programs for U9-U12 players.
3. Lead and coach game days for Force In-House leagues for ages 5–8 and 9–12 at TOCA Rocky River or TOCA Ruchmond
4. Serve as the on-field lead coach for Juniors, Minis, and Youth Academy sessions.

Coaching & Development

1. Implement and execute club practice plans and training sessions.
2. Assist in the training and mentorship of coaching staff to ensure alignment with the club's technical curriculum.

Growth & Customer Relations

Cleveland Force Assistant Trainer

• Part-Time / Weekend Focus •

The Cleveland Force Soccer Club Pre-Club Program is seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to serve as part-time Assistant Trainers. This role focuses on providing high-quality support during weekend youth development programs, ensuring a fun, positive, and developmental experience for our youngest athletes.

Weekly Hours: 5–10 hours per week (focused primarily on Friday evening through Sunday)

Work Days: 3 days (weekends)

Pay Rate: $18–$22 per hour (commensurate with experience)

• Must be consistently available for weekend training sessions and games (Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays).
• Must be reliable, responsible, and passionate about soccer and working with children.
• Have reliable transportation to and from all session locations.
• Demonstrate a willingness to further personal knowledge and development in coaching.
• Must be willing to complete a background check, as required for all coaching staff.
• Ability to complete required certifications (e.g., SafeSport, Concussion in Sports) as mandated by the club/governing bodies.

Primary Responsibilities

1. On-Field Coaching Support: Assist lead coaches in executing age-appropriate training sessions for the Pre-Club Programs, including Force Minis (3-4 year olds), Force Juniors (4-7 year olds), and Youth Instruction Training/Leagues (8-12 year olds).
2. Player Development: Engage actively with young players, providing energetic on-field leadership, positive encouragement, and constructive feedback to support their growth.
3. Session Execution: Lead or assist specific drills and small-sided games (45-60 minutes), ensuring a structured, positive, and inclusive environment.
4. Adherence to Club Standards: Uphold the Cleveland Force SC Coaching Philosophy and Core Values (Commitment, Humility, Integrity, Respect, Passion), and carry out all duties in strict accordance with club policies, particularly those regarding the safeguarding of youth/minor players.

We are excited to introduce the Force Pre-Club Academy Assistant Trainer Program, a paid opportunity designed specifically for current Force high school players who are interested in gaining coaching experience, developing leadership skills, and exploring ways to stay involved in soccer beyond their playing career.

Become a Force Assistant Trainer

As an Assistant Trainer, you will work alongside experienced Force coaches in programs including:

• Force Minis – Ages 3–4
• Force Juniors – Ages 4–7
• Force In-House 5v5 Leagues – Ages 5–12
• Camps & Special Programs

This is an opportunity to mentor younger players, become a role model within our club, and learn what it takes to be a coach. You will work directly with experienced coaches while gaining hands-on experience leading activities, running drills, communicating with young players, and creating a positive environment.
