Get to know Coach Abby Richter, U13-U19 GLA Girls Director & USL W League Assistant Coach!

Which of the Cleveland Force SC core values resonates with you the most and why?
“All of the values are important but picking one, I would say Integrity. To me Integrity means self accountability. Being accountable for yourself and your actions on and off the field. Doing things the right way and holding a standard for yourself and your teammates.”
What drives you to coach?
"As a coach, I love being able to impact the lives of my players. I like watching and helping players develop and grow on and off the field and pushing them to do things out of their comfort zone. Lastly, I enjoy being a part of my player’s successes and seeing them achieving their goals."
Why have you chosen to work with Cleveland Force? What are some benefits CFSC has over opposing clubs?
“I chose to work with Cleveland Force because of the quality of the coaches within the club, giving me the opportunity to grow as a coach and also help grow the club. One of the strengths of Cleveland Force is the quality of the people involved in the club,
from the coaches, to the administrators and the families. I also believe Force has a place for every level of player. There are numerous teams per age group which gives players different opportunities to train and improve on their game.”
What’s Next?
“I am looking forward to the spring season
with our ECNL-RL games. I am also looking forward to the USL W League season this summer, playing in a new division and
building our record from last season.”
Besides soccer, what drives you?
"While I don’t play much soccer anymore, I enjoy running and working out on my Peleton. In the summer, I love biking on the trails around Akron. In my free time, I am usually at the swimming pool watching my daughter swim or play soccer."
